Dennis Maples, General Manager

Mr. Maples joined Excel Interior Door, LLC in 2017 and has more than 35 years of experience in the manufacturing of Interior Doors. His responsibilities include developing partnerships with strategic customers and vendors as well as leading and directing operations in a manner that has a positive impact on all stakeholders of the business. Works closely with sales force and operations to achieve controlled growth of top lines sales and revenue.

Prior to joining Excel Interior Door, LLC, Mr. Maples worked for Young Door Company from 1987 to 1990 and Jeld-Wen, Inc. from 1990 to 2016 and held several positions at multiple locations including Group Manager, Quality Facilitator, Inventory Control, Production Manager, Assistant General Manager, and General Manager.

Mr. Maples received his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Operations Management from Auburn University in 1986.

 
Andrew Spanbauer, Controller

Andrew Spanbauer, Controller

Mr. Spanbauer joined Excel Interior Door, LLC in July of 2022. Before joining Excel Interior Door, LLC, he was a CFO of a $60 million protective coatings company in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. He has more than 40 years of accounting experience with over 30 of those years in the manufacturing environment and another 6 years with financial institutions. His responsibilities included implementation of financial systems to support the reporting of various corporations and smaller growing companies. Andrew has also led the implementation and management of inventory control processes in many of these businesses to align growth with financial objectives. As part of the management teams, Mr. Spanbauer has supported and developed relationships with strategic customers and vendors to ensure value added returns to all of the stakeholders in each of the businesses he represented.

Prior to working in the manufacturing industry, Mr. Spanbauer worked for Valley Bank and M&I as a Corporate Accountant from 1990 to 1995. Subsequently, he began working in the manufacturing environment as a Corporate Lead for Menasha Corporation and then moved to Joplin, MO to work for Schreiber Foods as a Domestic Cost and Pricing Analyst from 1995-1998. In 1998, Andrew moved back to Oshkosh, Wisconsin as a Financial Accountant for Amcor and then General Dynamics as a Finance Manager of their axle division before working as a CFO of a growing chemical company in 2013.

Mr. Spanbauer received his Bachelor of Administration degree in Accounting, Finance and Information Systems from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 1990.

 

Patty Kendall, Human Resource Manager

Mrs. Kendall is the Human Resources Business Partner at Excel Interior Door, LLC with over twenty years of experience in human resources of which fifteen years has been focused on the manufacturing industry. Specializing in recruitment, employee engagement, and retention, Patty uses her experience to create a work environment that is based on equal opportunities.

Being a first-generation immigrant in the United States has shaped her unique perspective on creating a work environment that fosters fairness and encourages finding self-worth. Her passion for not only being the voice of those who cannot communicate for themselves, but for developing paths that lead into careers has allowed her to successfully increase employee satisfaction and retention through serving her team. This is what truly motivates her to get up in the morning.

By focusing on the success of others, cultivating a work environment that motivates employee engagement, values employee perspectives and ensures competitive wages and benefits; Patty has been able to lead previous companies into winning awards such as the Ohio’s Best Employer Award for two consecutive years in a row.

When Patty is not at Excel Interior Door, she is an avid reader who loves to cook and a grandmother that adores spending time with her family.

 

Matt Brehm, Executive Vice President of Sales

Mr. Brehm joined Excel Interior Door, LLC in May of 2023.  Before joining Excel Interior Door, LLC, he was the Director of Residential Sales at Quaker Windows and Doors in Freeburg, Missouri. Mr. Brehm also worked for JELD-WEN for nineteen years in various sales capacities.  He has more than 23 years of sales experience in the interior door, exterior door, and window industry. 

Mr. Brehm’s personal profile is shaped by strong family values, a superior work ethic, and an integrity-driven competitive nature that drives him to exceed and motivates those around him.  As an instinctive leader, he reaps personal fulfillment by helping others tap into their inner excellence, aligning their personal growth with the company’s short-term and long-range business goals.  Mr. Brehm earned his Bachelor of General Studies from Eastern Illinois University.  Mr. Brehm also served in the United States Marine Corps.

Chris Bressette, Plant Operations Manager

Mr. Bresette joined Excel Interior Door in October of 2022. He has more than 20 years of management and warehouse experience. Mr. Bresette worked for Nucor for 12 years in Production and Warehouse Management and before joining Excel, he was the Plant Manager for Gregory Tube in Decatur, Alabama.  While at Excel he has developed a remarkable team as he exhibits strong values and a work ethic which motivates his teams to perform at their highest level. Chris enjoys building and leading diverse teams and molding future leaders. Chris also earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Athens State University and served in the United States Army.

 

Shane Parker, Inventory Control Manager

Mr. Parker joined Excel Interior Door, LLC in 2011 and has more than 30 years of experience in the manufacturing of Interior Doors.

Prior to joining Excel Interior Door, LLC, Mr. Parker worked for Jeld-Wen, Inc. from 1992 to 2010 and held several positions including Production Lead, Group Manager, CNC Programmer, Quality Facilitator, Safety Facilitator, and Production Manager.
